ROLL OUT OF FOREIGN NATIONAL IDENTITY CARDS SPEEDS UP
Skilled migrants renewing their visas to stay in the UK will be issued with an ID card from the new year three months ahead of schedule.
From January 2010 skilled foreign workers under Tier 2 of the points based system will be issued with ID cards.This brings the roll out forward from April 2010 and will add around 30,000 foreign nationals a year to those currently being isued with identity cards.

The European Court of Justice has recently ruled in the case of Pereda v Madrid Mosilidad SA:C-277/08 that Employees who fall ill during their annual leave are entitled to reclaim their holidays to make up for the days they have missed whilst being ill.
